Stephanie Streit (pr: strite), MD

 

Stephanie grew up the youngest of three children in Hamilton, Ohio. She attended catholic schools, graduating from Badin High School in 2002. She then attended Miami University, where she was active in Alpha Delta Pi sorority, the Outdoor Pursuit Center and Intramural sports. She worked as a server and bartender at Steinkeller for three years and as a lead soccer referee for all four years. She graduated cum laude with a BA in Chemistry and a BS in Exercise Science in 2006.

Stephanie then matriculated to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, having been selected in the 2003 Dual Admissions Program cohort from Miami. She also commissioned into the US Air Force in 2006, having been awarded the Health Professions Scholarship. She graduated with an MD in 2010, having a secured a residency spot in her number one choice, the Medical University of South Carolina. At MUSC, she was active in the Housestaff Council, was nominated for the Golden Apple multiple times and served as a Administrative Chief resident for the 2014-2015 academic year. She married Erek Majka, MD, in 2014.

In 2015, Stephanie and Erek moved to Cincinnati, where Stephanie did a fellowship in Trauma & Surgical Critical Care.
